A Book of Poetry by

Barbara Bulova Brown
Publisher: The Cheshire Press
2017
About …
Poet Barbara Bulova Brown’s new book viewpoints is an autobiographical portrait of life experience. Written partly in free verse, each page gently moves her life story forward through the moments, great and small, that make up the fabric of a life. Each poem brings us closer to the poet herself. Restrained. Sensitive. Beautifully polished.

Here’s how The Cheshire Press helped …
Barbara Bulova Brown had very clear ideas about how her book of poems should look. She wanted a spare, clean design that matched the poems themselves and that showed her pen-and-ink illustrations to good advantage. The Cheshire Press gave the pages a clean look with plan sans-serif type and a single hairline at the top of each page. To warm up the cover, we “backed” her illustration with an earthy brown-paper ground and honored her request to set the title and author’s name in lower case type.

A Book of Poetry by

Nancy Bailey Miller
Publisher: The Cheshire Press
2016
About …
In her new poetry collection, poet, memoirist and musician Nancy Bailey Miller takes the reader with her into the tricky waters she navigates like the gifted verbal sailor she is: dreams, memory, family history, shifting relationships, the familiar seen as with the fresh eyes of the traveler, the unfamiliar tamed and rendered ours, new places and situations explored by a mind blessed by restlessness and keen powers of observation.

Here’s how The Cheshire Press helped …
What Nancy Bailey Miller needed from The Cheshire Group was an attractive, well-designed book cover and a text design that showcased each poem. The Cheshire Press is pleased to have, once again, assisted Nancy with pre-press tasks that took her sixth book of poetry into print.

Nancy Bailey Miller
Publisher: Fermata Books
2011
About …
In her fourth collection of poems, Nancy Bailey Miller takes the reader with her into the tricky waters she navigates like the gifted verbal sailor she is: dreams, memory, family history, shifting relationships, the familiar seen as with the fresh eyes of the traveler, the unfamiliar tamed and rendered ours, new places and situations explored by a mind blessed with restlessness and keen powers of observation.

Here’s how The Cheshire Press helped …
As a published author, Nancy Bailey Miller already had her own publishing identity—Fermata Books. What she needed from The Cheshire Group was an attractive, well-designed book cover and a text design that showcased each poem. The Cheshire Press is pleased to have assisted Nancy with pre-press tasks that took her fifth book of poetry into print.
